Sajid, Accused in Brutal Double Murder, Killed in Controversial Police Encounter

The Badayun double murder case took a new turn today with the announcement of a magisterial inquiry into the police encounter that killed the main suspect, Sajid. District Magistrate Manoj Kumar ordered a probe by a city magistrate, demanding a report within 15 days. The search for Javed, Sajid's brother and alleged accomplice in this horrific crime, continues with four police teams deployed to locate him.

Sajid, the main suspect in the horrific double murder of two young brothers in Badayun, was killed in a police encounter that has raised questions about the use of force. Sajid, a local hair salon owner, was shot three times after allegedly opening fire on officers. His death marks a swift and violent end to a case that has sent shockwaves through the community.

Background

Sajid, a resident of Kasba Sakhanu, was a familiar figure in the neighborhood where the victims, Ayush (13) and Ahan (6), lived. His hairdressing shop was located near the family's home, and he was reportedly acquainted with them as the victim's mother ran a beauty parlor nearby.

The Incident

The gruesome murders occurred on Tuesday night while the children's father was away on business. According to police reports, Sajid allegedly lured the children to the roof before brutally attacking them with a knife. Initial investigations suggest he had earlier requested money from the children's mother, a claim that has yet to be fully verified.

The Encounter and Aftermath

A manhunt for Sajid ensued, culminating in a police encounter just three hours after the murders. Police claim Sajid opened fire on officers, prompting them to return fire, resulting in his death. His body was taken for a post-mortem examination under police supervision and later buried in the Sakhanu cemetery.
