Badaun Murders: Javed Arrested, Encounter Probe Ordered!

In a significant development in the heart-wrenching double murder case of Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, police have arrested the second accused, Javed, from Bareilly last night. Meanwhile, another crucial update emerged in the case of the main suspect, Sajid, who died in a police encounter. District Magistrate Manoj Kumar has ordered a magisterial inquiry into Sajid's death. The City Magistrate has been asked to submit the investigation report within 15 days.

As a reminder, two innocent brothers in Badaun were brutally murdered a few days ago. The prime suspect, Sajid, was killed in a purported police encounter, raising doubts about the legitimacy of the encounter. Sajid, a resident of Kasba Sahkwan in Badaun, reportedly knew the victims, Ayush (13) and Aahan (6), who lived in the same locality. Sajid's hairdressing shop was located near their house, and they were apparently acquainted because the victims' mother ran a beauty parlor nearby.

According to police reports, the children's father was away on business on Tuesday night. Seizing the opportunity, Sajid allegedly lured the boys to the rooftop and attacked them with a knife. Initial investigations suggest Sajid might have demanded money from the children's mother. However, this claim hasn't been entirely verified.

The entire community was enraged by the children's murders. A significant reason for the anger was the killing of the prime suspect, Sajid, in a police encounter.
