Maidaan reiview: A Ajay Devgan's new sports winning documentry movie

No doubt Maidaan will be recognized as the best sports documentary movie for a long while credit goes to the outstanding director Amit Ravindernath Sharma and superstar Ajay Devgan.

Maidaan is based on the real story of  Syed Abdul Rahim (Ajay Devgan) a football coach who was shamefully defeated 10 times and decided to make a raw team from the core of India and train them to win and start golden a era of Indian football. 

Maidaan reminds us about a forgotten hero of India. a coach Syed Abdul Rahim who decided to make the impossible possible and achieved that and took our Indian football team to the international level. It was not easy to perform such a task he faced many problems during his journeys like internal politics in sports federation and criticism.  Amit Ravindernath's movie does not fill nostalgia. Since it is a story of a real-life hero and an unknown chapter of Indian sports history. Maidaan also greatly portrays Rahim's wife.

This movie gives a feel-good experience and makes our chest swell although it is a pride story of Indian sports history. This movie is not just a sports movie but a movie about an Indian legend and about his journey.

After a long while we got an inspiring sports movie. We have already watched "Bhag Milkha Bhag" and "M.S. Dhoni The Untold Story" and now "Maiddan", these are the few movies which make us feel proud of our country and help us to remind the people who do a great job for our country. 

This whole story starts when India faces a defeat by 10-1 in the Helsinki Olympics in 1952 a journalist points Rahim for this loss then coach Rahim says in response "Don't criticize what you don't understand. You never walked in that man's shoes."
