In a recent Prime Video event in Mumbai on Tuesday, there was a moment of clarity between Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Deverakonda on stage. Shahid called Vijay on stage and was seen thanking him for 'Arjun Reddy', saying that without that film, 'Kabir Singh' couldn't have existed.

'Kabir Singh' was the Hindi remake of Vijay Deverakonda's 'Arjun Reddy'. Kiara Advani also acted in the film. Despite performing well among audiences, the film sparked controversy for glorifying toxic masculinity. The film earned over ₹250 crores at the box office in India.
